Terri Schiavo

From a legal stand point, I do not agree with the removal of Terri Schiavo's feeding tube because there was not a written document or proof of the fact that Terri Schiavo told Mike Schiavo that if she ever was in a vegetative state, she did not want to be kept alive. I find it odd that Mike Schiavo did not say this until it had been over 10 years since she came into that state. After he had found another woman and had children with her. I feel that the parents should have had more of a say in what became of their daughter because it appears that Mike Schiavo did not care. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/11992066#11992066)

I feel that this move was appropriate because it was a very controversial matter.

I do not feel that anybody else other than the family members should have the authority to decide whether one should be removed from life support, especially not if the family members are willing to pay to keep her alive.

blog #2

I believe that the "American Dream" is not just a goal, but an unrealistic one that adults put into your head to help keep you motivated. Adults tell us things like "you could be president one day". Which is not true at all. The possibilities of me becoming the president of the U.S. are slim to none. It's a unrealistic goal, a lie. Nevertheless, it does keep me going and makes me work harder in school, thinking that I someday can become president. Somewhere along the way I find what I want to become and start to believe that I could achieve that goal, which then becomes my American Dream.

Blog #1

1)http://cocoperez.com/?from=PH&p=48000 This blog is written by the infamous Perez Hilton. Perez Hilton is the person to go to for the latest celebrity gossip. He not only fills us in on what is going on in the lives of the current A-listers but adds his own opinion. In this blog, he trash talks Lindsay Lohan and her ridiculously strange outfit. Lohan's sporting a velvet poncho. If I worked at a department store, I would only allow young girls and old women to buy ponchos.

2)http://seaofshoes.com/ This blog is written by Jane. She blogs about the latest fashion trends. In this blog, she talks about and shows pictures of the latest Gucci platforms. She has appeared in many magazines, such as In Style, and Vogue, featuring her sense of style and her blog site. I found this blog to be interesting because she is our age. However, she's not just like every other adolescent. She has become well known, maybe even famous off her blog site, simply by living her every day life and sharing it with the rest of us.
